					<description><![CDATA[Enjoyed the piece. Can they really be that unhappy? I tend to agree with you - they are probably being more honest. It might also be that most germans don&#039;t really think about it - they just get on with life. It would be interesting to see how Germans came out on a &#039;quietly satisfied&#039; index rather than a happiness one. 

The regional variations are interesting. We holiday in Saxony not far south of Leipzig and some of the towns there are struggling a bit - Zeitz comes to mind, but where we are over to the east a bit near Mittweida seems more prosperous.
