The official site (http://www.route-industriekultur.ruhr/) doesn’t have an Eng lang version, but I know there are maps and other publications in Eng from Ruhr Tourismus. From memory (I’m not at my desk right now) it’s around 400km and features 30-ish sites of interest from converted slag heaps, to industrial art installations, and operational chemical plants.
