Having read your book &quot;Blue river black sea&quot; with great pleasure during a trip down the danube by car last month  I stumbled in the book and on this site over the &quot;Swabian Alps&quot;. I do not want to overdo with smartassing but there are no Swabian Alps there is the Swabian Alb, in singular, nothing to do with the Alps. The name Alb goes back to Alba refering to the white rocks or the celtic word for mountain pasture (Gebirgsweide). 
For a local patriot of Swabia living in Stuttgart it has been a need to set this detail right.
