Beautiful half-timbered house in Germany’s largest heritage area (Quedlinburg has more than 1,000 restored half-timbered houses). Rooms are pretty-pretty in pastels, perhaps not to everyone’s taste.  The Harz mountains are great for walking, and for the Harz railway.
