GermanyisWunderbar is the distillation of the expertise of two well-known enthusiasts for travel in Germany, one British, and one German. The former a long-established writer, and the latter a communication consultant and freelance journalist.
Andrew Eames is a travel writer and author with a particular penchant for things German, having married a lass from Lower Saxony.
Over the years he has written about Germany for a range of UK newspapers, including the Times, the Telegraph, the Daily Express, the Evening Standard and the Independent. He was recently ranked sixth in the UK Press Gazette list of the top 50 travel writers in the UK.
His favourite thing about Germany? “The German diet: beer and bread.“
Barbara Geier is a fully bilingual GER-ENG content and communications expert.
While working for the German National Tourist Office in London as press and PR manager and promoting Germany as a travel destination, she rediscovered the beauty of her Heimat that has so much more to offer than just the Oktoberfest or Berlin. She set up her her own business B Connects. Barbara Geier Content Services in 2009 and is working for variety of clients in the UK and Germany.
Her favourite thing about Germany? “There’s always a great bakery round the next corner and it’s a good place to come home to.”
