Mainhaus Stadthotel Frankfurt
At the eastern fringes of the city centre, this 45-room hotel breathes the spirit of Adolph Kolping, a Roman Catholic priest who originally trained as a shoemaker and in the 19th century founded the Kolping Association to support workers and improve their working conditions. The rooms are simple but light, clean and modern. They all feature contemporary crosses, unique pieces created by students of an art academy in Hesse, so if you have a problem with religious signs, this is not for you. However, don’t be deterred by the religious connotation: This is a ‘normal’ hotel in a great location, offering very good value for money plus a nice restaurant on site and ample breakfast buffet.
